I Want Us Both to Enjoy the Run
Prague
No speed today. Today, we’re simply taking it easy.
I’m no longer chasing a personal best. I’m trying to find a balance that lets both of us enjoy the run. Because if my son isn’t having fun, it stops making sense.
We stop for a snack. For a drink. We watch birds, dogs, trees—whatever catches his attention. Sometimes we spend more time standing still than running. And you know what? That’s perfectly fine.
These runs aren’t about pace. They’re about time spent together.
The older he gets, the more challenging it becomes. He wants to explore, investigate everything, and every outing is different. But we always find a way.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how fast we ran. What matters is that we shared another little adventure. And perhaps one day, he’ll remember that Dad always made time for him.
